What is this website about?

This website provides a service to help you find your photos that are present in the explore section. Moreover, you can view the explored photos of any flickr member by providing his/her screen name.

What is 'explore' in Flickr?

Everyday, Flickr picks up 500 photos from the public pool based on an 'interestingness' algorithm and displays it in the explore section of the flickr website.

Interestingness?

Flickr calls the methodology of selecting photos to explore as interestingness. Read their definition **here**. Simply put, the algorithm tries to measure the amount of excitement your photo manages to create in the community.

What other services does this site provide?

This site helps you with an explore alert service. Once registered, you will get an automated alert whenever one of your photos makes it to the explore section.

How will I get the alert?

The alert is done as a comment on the photo that has made it to explore. You need to subscribe for the alert servuce in order to get alerted. The comment will look like the following,

Yes.

How does the subscription work?

Subscription needs authentication. Authentication is done using Flickr. You will be redirected to the flickr website, which will do the authentication. You don't need to provide your username and password in our website.

What kind of access do I need to grant this service?

For the current services offered, read access is sufficient.
